Avoidance

The strategy of staying away from a difficult feeling or decision — often by leaving items unsorted, rooms unentered, or decisions deferred indefinitely.

Avoidance reduces short-term discomfort and reinforces long-term overwhelm. It's not laziness or denial; it's a sensible response to a feeling the nervous system is trying to protect you from.

The decision queue and pace settings exist to make engagement low-friction enough to bypass avoidance. One small decision today is more useful than a planned grand sort that never happens.
