Pace

Pace is a single setting that controls how challenging your daily prompt will feel. It does not enforce a daily item quota and does not affect how often the app contacts you.

What pace controls

Each day, the app generates one daily challenge for you. Pace decides which difficulty pool that challenge is drawn from.

SteadyEasy or Medium (random)
MotivatedMedium only
IntensiveMedium or Stretch (random)

What each difficulty looks like

Difficulty maps directly to the target count of the daily challenge. The same challenge type (e.g. log items) appears at different scales depending on the pool.

What pace does not control

  • How often you receive notifications. Notifications follow a fixed daily cron schedule and don't change with pace.
  • How many challenges you receive per day. There is always one daily challenge, regardless of pace.
  • Whether you can log more or fewer items per day. There is no enforcement; pace only nudges.
  • Streak rules. Streaks track active days, independent of pace.

Frequently asked

Does Gentle pace limit how many items I can log in a day?

No. Pace only chooses how challenging your one daily prompt is. You can log as many or as few items as you like at any pace.

Will Intensive pace mean more notifications?

No. Notifications follow a fixed schedule and aren't influenced by pace. Pace only changes the daily challenge target.

Can I change pace after onboarding?

Yes. Pace is editable from your profile at any time and takes effect on the next daily challenge generation.
